“There are moments of genial excess: Graham Kent’s Spitting Image-style Harold Wilson steps out in a daft morris dance with his aides, miniskirted dollybirds gyrate manically in a tacky Ford advertisement, and when the villainous big boss arrives from the US…the scene is an absurd salute to Americana, with a jigging Ronald McDonald, Marilyn and Elvis.”

Douglas Rintoul’s lovely, lively production, staged with a charismatic group of actor-musicians on a sensibly spare set, bubbles with ebullient good humour, but isn’t afraid to let the bad times have their moments too.

The Evening Standard

The whole production really is worthy of the West End and I would go so far as to say it’s the best show I’ve seen at the Queen’s Theatre (director Douglas Rintoul, choreographer Tim Jackson)
