For over 15 years, Tim has worked as a singing teacher and audition coach, both privately, and at top drama schools, including The Royal Academy of Music, LAMDA, Arts Educational, Guildford School of Acting, East 15 and Urdang Academy. Past and current students are now starring in the West End and on Broadway. He was recently Vocal Coach for Bill Nighy on his feature film LIVING ("Nighy has a fine tenor voice" - The Times).
 
Tim has a BA(Hons) in Music from New College, Oxford University. He was a choral scholar of The Choir of New College, Oxford, with whom he toured internationally, performed in regular radio broadcasts, and recorded four albums. After Oxford, Tim trained in musical theatre performance at Mountview Academy.

 

Upon graduating, he appeared in the West End: in Sunset Boulevard (at the Comedy Theatre, now the Harold Pinter Theatre) and in Dreamboats and Petticoats (at the Playhouse Theatre). He was Sam in a 48hr charity production of Crazy For You (London Palladium). He performed in A Midsummer Night's Dream twice; as Snout (Japan Tour) and as Lysander (Riverside Studios). He was in the original cast of The Trench for the Olivier-nominated theatre company Les Enfants Terribles. 

 

In the UK he has performed in concert at The Royal Albert Hall, The Royal Festival Hall, The Barbican, St John's Smith Square and St Paul's Cathedral. International concerts include: Concertgebouw, Amsterdam; National Cathedral, Washington DC and Archbasilica of Saint John Lateran, Rome. 

 

Whilst studying for his degree, Tim trained as an operatic male soprano with Ashley Stafford at the Royal College of Music. Other tutors include Deborah Roberts, of the Tallis Scholars (Bel Canto), Bronwen Mills (Estill) and Paul Farrington (Estill). Post-Mountview he trained with Sam Kenyon (Estill) and Steven Luke Walker (Laryngeal Conditioning System).

Alongside his technical singing expertise, he teaches Audition Technique and Acting Through Song.
